Today’s the day of DIVERGENT gifts. Pictures. Those are what we love and the gifts that keep on giving.
These all came from the LA Times Hero Complex…
“She really is very, very self-sufficient and is her own kind of warrior in terms of she wanted to do her stunts herself,” producer Lucy Fisher said. “She has a huge amount of inner strength. … She’s very mature beyond her age, as is Tris.”
For Woodley, the draw was the story’s universal appeal, she said, and its parallels with the world we live in.
“It’s not just about young people figuring their way through life,” she said. “It’s about young people being in really adult situations, and they’re treated like adults, which is how adolescents are these days. Everybody’s incredibly smart, and there’s not a lot of movies that do that age range justice.”
That’s just what Roth was aiming for. And though she doesn’t necessarily consider Tris a role model — she can be impulsive and self-destructive — she is guiding her own story.
“Tris is a character with a lot of agency and a lot of power,” Roth said. “One of my rules for myself was Tris has to be somehow responsible for what happens to her, for better or for worse; no acts of God.”
Shailene Woodley looks stunning for Empire Magazine. She really can rock the short and the long hair. LOVE IT!
The cover for the official movie companion was released over on the Divergent Facebook page this week, with Shailene Woodley as Tris on the front. Looking classy!
No surprise to us – Ansel Elgort is making everyone’s list of people to look out for in 2014. The Boston Herald put out their list of faces to watch out for in 2014.

Joel Kinnaman: The Swedish star made inroads as the irreverent rehab-recovering detective in three seasons of “The Killing.” Now he’s set to grab the world’s action audience as the new “RoboCop.”
Kit Harington: Another TV player who shines on “Game of Thrones,” Harington stars in the historical epic “Pompeii,” recounting a legendary Italian city’s volcanic destruction.

These ladies may have stayed timid and quiet this past year, but only to save energy fore the non-stop year they have ahead! Happy 2014!
Kinda crazy when you can be completely cut out of the aforementioned Spider-Man 2 movie and still be on track to have the biggest year of your career. Controversial poster or no controversial poster, I cannot wait to seeShailene play Hazel in The Fault in Our Stars come June. But her biggest film of the year is, obviously,Divergent, which comes out in April (and if you haven’t watched this clip of Shai and Theo James, remove one woolly layer before viewing).

Shailene talks a little bit on why she took the role of Tris…
“She was this rebel where she had this cockiness, yet underneath, she was vulnerable and capable of all sorts of hurt,” he says. “I loved that quality about her.”
He offered her what many actresses would consider the role of a lifetime. But Woodley says she was still thinking about saying no until her mother convinced her that she would be “crazy not take this on.”
“My mother said, ‘You’ve never declined a part because of what could happen. You’ve never not done something from a place of fear,’ ” Woodley says. ” ‘You cannot say, this is a big-budget film, so I don’t want to do it. You have to decide if you are passionate about it.’ ”
Woodley chose the Divergent bowl. She instantly infused her own California 2013 version of hippie vibe into a project that had a family atmosphere and was overseen by husband-and-wife producers Doug Wick and Lucy Fisher.
